After a whirlwind 2 years, there is no stopping the fast moving and ever growing Asparagus Green!
After securing their second contract at Pontefract Castle at the end of last year, Asparagus Green has now been awarded the contract for the catering provisions at York Museum Gardens.
Set in the stunning surroundings of the medieval ruins of St. Mary’s Abbey is The Pavillion, a quaint Tea Room serving delicious, locally sourced hot and cold food, a variety of fruit teas as well as Yorkshire Tea & freshly brewed local and specialty coffees. Traditional Afternoon Tea can also be enjoyed at The Pavillion but if you fancy a picnic, you can hire a picnic basket, rug and flask and find your ideal location within the beautiful gardens to enjoy a traditional picnic!
To support The Pavillion, Asparagus Green will also be introducing “The Horsebox” which is their very first mobile unit.
The Gardens are open daily and free to all visitors.
There is so much to see and do including a chance to see inside Yorkshire’s oldest working observatory, wander round the gardens and see the vast botanical collection, spot some of the 40 species of bird within the gardens and visit the award winning Yorkshire Museum, which showcases some of Britain’s finest archaeological treasures and many rare animals, birds and fossils, in exciting new displays
Anthony Hegney, Director Asparagus Green said “The Museum Gardens are a great space to meet friends and family and enjoy the peace and tranquility that the gardens have to offer. The Pavillion is ideally situated for the beautiful surroundings and we shall be introducing local produce as standard for our visitors to enjoy. The Horsebox is exactly what it says it is but we have had this revamped and kitted out as a catering unit to add something quirky to the gardens and to service those customers “on the go” as they pass through the gardens, whether they are en-route to work or enjoying a leisurely stroll.
We could not be more proud adding York to our growing portfolio and are extremely excited and very much looking forward to meeting the people and visitors of York!
